Halloween 2012

Eva wanted to dress up as a kitty for Halloween this year. I was happy with her request because it was quite simple to pull off... ears, tail, black outfit, black eyeliner for the whiskers. She really loved  Halloween this year!

We started out the night by going up the street to the main road, Proctor, where they had the road blocked off and all of the shops were handing out candy. I love this idea because it's safe and friendly, but it doesn't give you that same feel like when we were kids going door-to-door. First off, the lines for each store were super long. That's strike #1 when  you're 2 years old. Secondly, the kids don't even say "trick-or-treat" or "thank you" nonetheless because they basically toss candy at the kid and move to the next one. Needless to say, we only stayed about 5 minutes.

After dinner, we hit a few of the neighbors houses' so Eva could get the whole experience of ringing the bell and saying "trick-or-treat." She was so happy to do this until we go to a house where the gal was dressed up as a witch when she answered the door. Eva got a little spooked! She still talks about the "scary witch" today.

We only went to about 5 houses, which was perfect for Eva. Then, we spent the rest of the night answering the door for other kids. Eva had a great time handing out our treat and seeing all the kids dressed up.
